It's Beginning to Look ALOT Like Christmas!

It's a winter Wonderland here in Virginia...initially they were forecasting 1 to 3 inches but as of today they've changed it to get 5 to 8 inches....YIPPEE, I love SNOW. It really gets you in the Christmas spirit...perhaps I'll put up the Christmas tree today! Here are some pics...not really good but its brrrr chilly outside!
I went to an auction last night and here is a sneak peek of what they had to offer...I'll update you on the outcome of the auction later on this weekend....I'm off to go get the Christmas tree out of the barn...hope your having a great weekend!

Dear Santa...

I believe I've been a good girl ALL year soooooo will you PLEASE bring me this... Look at the base....AWESOME!

She's on Ebay right now with 5 days to go and it's already up to $200.00...come on Santa, I'm worth it...REALLY! Oh, how I soooo love dress forms...and barkcloth drapes, hooked rugs, rose oil paintings, tole chandeliers, chippy furniture and so on, and so on...Okay, I think you've got it...I have a problem....Okay, admitting that you have a problem is the first step...LOL! Have a great DAY!

Inspiration....

Who or what gives you decorating inspiration? I know, I know....magazines, books, blogs, and websites are ever so helpful in giving us ideas or as I say, gives me my fix! Yes, like you, I'm addicted to decorating magazines (it's taboo to throw any magazine away in my house...I have Country Living magazines that date back to 1995...yes, I know I have a problem...lol) however they just seem to temporarily fill my thirst for decorating. Nothing, my friends, compares to the inspiration that comes from one of my BFFs. Beth, my BFF and business partner, is the quintessential queen of decorating!! Her home is simply gorgeous....and what amazes me the most is no room remains the same....not little changes either, typically rooms have different furniture and decor! Take a look her home...I guarantee it will not look like this next week...I can hardly wait to visit!

New Treasures Added Today!

Auction Update....

I've been a little busy this week so I haven't had a moment to post about last weeks auction. As I thought there were tons of people and prices went sky high. To give you an example, the mantel went for $1150.00 which I thought would go for somewhere around $400.00 to $600.00 and the hooked rug went for over $300.00. I probably could of bought the chippy green trunk but my friend wanted it so badly...so I let her have it....she paid $70.00 dollars which I thought was quite reasonable. So what did I get...a boat load of feed sacks with cool advertisements, 2 German purses, a little chippy bench, a beat up farm table (its already in my booth), and some other nick knacks...nothing fantastic! I'll add some items to the store later on this weekend. Now, for the exciting news...at least for me...there's another auction tonight! Yep, I went and took some pics to share with ya'll...but let me tell you, its not as good as the one last week. There's really not a lot of furniture however they had some good small items...take a peek and let me know what you think...

There are two of these hooked rugs.
An assortment of porcelain posies from Italy.Lots of cherub clocks...Can't have too many chalkware statues...I already have this set so if I win the auction it will definitely go online...or perhaps to my BFF Beth....Little lamps with pink shades...see the yellow sticker with the number three...it means there's already a bid on it...darn it!Lots of concrete statues....I like the blue chenille and quilt on the bottom.

I thought he was a hoot....and he is enormous...there's a huge fish as well...lol!Tea Pot from England...had an assortment of dishes and tea cups with it...not a whole set.
